AgriNovus Indiana Hosting 4th Annual Agbioscience Innovation Summit Next Week

On Thursday, November 29, AgriNovus Indiana will host its 4th annual Agbioscience Innovation Summit at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis. AgriNovus President and CEO Beth Bechdol told HAT what to expect at the event.

“We have a number of fascinating keynote speakers. We have some really great sessions that are focused on entrepreneurship and science and technology’s intersection with the consumer. We have some interesting discussions focused around convergence of the ag biosciences with other industry sectors like the life sciences, tech, the advanced manufacturing world.”

Dr. Gebisa Ejeta, Director, Purdue Center for Global Food Security and the 2009 World Food Prize Winner will speak at the event, and Jayson Lusk, Head of the Ag Econ Department at Purdue, will moderate a panel entitled Science and Technology Meets Food and the Consumer.

Bechdol says in years past, the event’s audience has consisted of, “Researchers, a number of faculty members, leadership from a variety of Indiana colleges and universities. We will have high school students in the room, we’ll have college students in the room who are excited about potential careers in the ag biosciences. Beyond that you’ll have entrepreneurs, you’ll have scientists, you’ll have investors. It really is an incredibly diverse audience.”
