2008 Debate
Hoosier Ag Today, Indiana's premier agricultural news organization, in conjunction with AgriInstitute, sponsors of the Lt. Governors Debate, will provide an on-line audio broadcast of the event. The debate between incumbent Republican Becky Skillman and Democratic challenger Dennie Oxley will be held on August 13 at 3pm in the Farm Bureau Building at the Indiana State Fair.
The debate will focus on agricultural and rural issues according to Beth Archer with AgriInstitute. Immediately following the event, the complete audio program will be available as a streaming or downloadable file from the Hoosier Ag Today web site (www.hoosieragtoday.com). Photos and interviews with those in attendance at the event will be available at the Hoosier Ag Today blog (www.hatchat.net).
"The issues that will be covered at this debate are vital for the future of Indiana agriculture, and we want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to listen to this discussion," said Gary Truitt, President of Hoosier Ag Today. Truitt will be one of the members of the agricultural media to serve as questioners for the debate. Gerry Dick, host of Inside Indiana Business, will moderate the event.
