Overnight Highlights

  • Overnight markets have corn – ¼, soybeans -7 ¼, wheat – ¾, crude oil +.63, dollar +.20, gold -.30 and the Dow +14.
  • Grain markets traded lower led by soybeans, with hints of drier weather for Argentina and the Dollar up overnight.
  • IMEA announced that Mato Grosso’s soybean harvest is now 11.5% complete in comparison to 5.3% last week.
  • A senior transition official announced that PEOTUS Trump will name former Georgia Governor, Sonny Perdue, as the nominee for Secretary of Agriculture.
  • Weekly export sales will be announced today due to the Monday holiday.
  • The highly anticipated Presidential Inauguration of Donald Trump will take place today at noon.
