The dates of the largest single state cattle show in the U.S.; the Hoosier Beef Congress are quickly approaching. Beginning Friday November 30th, approximately 1,000 junior exhibitors and their families and friends will come to the Indiana State Fairgrounds to showcase their cattle and display their knowledge of the cattle industry through the various contests that will be held in conjunction with the annual show and sale.
The deadline for Junior Show registration is November 1, 2012. Entries must be postmarked no later than this date. All information such as showmanship, contest rules, tradeshow, schedule of events, etc. can be found on the website: www.hoosierbeefcongress.com. Information may also be obtained by calling the IBCA office at (317) 293-2333.
Last year, a new program was implemented whereby the first 20 spaces in the stalling line were auctioned off using an online auction hosted at www.Breedersworld.com. This year, the Breedersworld online auction will take place between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on November 21st and will be expanded to the first 30 spots in line.

The Indiana Beef Cattle Association is an affiliate of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and is the state’s member group and issues manager for all segments of the beef cattle industry including cattle breeders, producers and feeders.
