Three-Million Miles Later, Ethanol Still Delivers

NASCAR has now run more than three-million miles on Sunoco Green E15. Growth Energy made the announcement at the annual National Association of Convenience Stores Show in Las Vegas. To promote the major milestone in American Ethanol’s partnership with NASCAR – Number 3 American Ethanol Chevrolet drive Austin Dillon made an appearance.

Growth Energy and the National Corn Growers Association formed the American Ethanol partnership with NASCAR in 2011 in order to increase awareness of ethanol and dispel myths about the renewable domestic fuel. For the past two seasons – NASCAR has been powered by E15. The rigorous racing conditions in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series have proven the durability and high performance capabilities of the fuel. Since the 2011 racing season – Dillon says drivers have seen a considerable increase in horsepower thanks to Sunoco Green E15. Reaching the three-million mile mark – he says – is another testament to the quality and value of ethanol for American drivers on and off the track.

E15 is now available at stations across Kansas and Iowa – with more Flex Fuel pumps opening nationwide. For more on the growing market – visit www dot EthanolRetailer dot com (www.ethanolretailer.com).
