Ryan Hunter-Reay, driver of the #17 Ethanol sponsored car in the IRL Indycar Series and Team Ethanol continued to compete for wins Sunday at Iowa Speedway. Recent weather disasters in the state didn’t dampen spirits of race fans at the sold-out track, and the drivers didn’t disappoint. There was racing all over the track all race long, and Ryan continued to race at the front of the pack. Because of rained out qualifications he started 14th, his place in the season standings, but quickly moved to the front as he passed 7 cars in the first 2 laps. Ryan told Hoosier Ag Today before the final practice session Saturday the car was almost where they wanted it. Obviously Team Ethanol made the right adjustments as Ryan was able to work his way to 3rd and was battling Tony Kanaan for 2nd when a yellow caution came out. He finished 8th and moved up 2 spots to 12th in the points race. Here is our conversation with Ryan Wednesday afternoon.
