A week off for RHR and IndyCar

Hoosier Ag Today’s Eye on the Ethanol Car is a weekly conversation with Ryan Hunter-Reay, driver of the Ethanol sponsored car in the IRL Indycar Series, fueled by 100 percent ethanol. Hoosier Ag Today welcomes our new sponsor for the Eye on the Ethanol feature, CountryMark.

The IndyCar Series gets a break. It has been 6 race weekends in a row for the teams and drivers, and one of those weekends saw team Ethanol and Ryan Hunter-Reay in victory circle. The final 2 of those 6 in a row were top 10 finishes for Ryan with a 10th at Mid Ohio and an 8th at Edmonton. HAT talked with him in the middle of the off-week about his good run on the Canada road course and a newly added non-points race in Australia.

The Indy 300 at Kentucky Speedway is next. That’s located in tiny Sparta, Kentucky and qualifying is Friday August 8. The race is scheduled for 6:30 ET Saturday August 9 on ESPN2 and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network.
