A week off for RHR and IndyCar

Hoosier Ag Today’s Eye on the Ethanol Car is a weekly conversation with Ryan Hunter-Reay, driver of the Ethanol sponsored car in the IRL Indycar Series, fueled by 100 percent ethanol. Hoosier Ag Today welcomes our new sponsor for the Eye on the Ethanol feature, CountryMark.

The IndyCar Series comes off a one week break for Friday night qualifying and Saturday night racing at Kentucky Speedway. Just 4 races remain in the season and in this week’s Eye on the Ethanol Car Ryan talks about his goal in the points race and we also delve into the prospects of another season in the #17 Ethanol car. Entering the race Ryan is in 9th place in the driver’s points, he comes off 2 straight top ten finishes, so he feels good coming into Kentucky.

The Indy 300 at Kentucky Speedway is this weekend in Sparta, Kentucky. Qualifying is Friday August 8. The race is scheduled for 6:30 ET Saturday August 9 on ESPN2 and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network.
