National Pork Board Announces New CEO

The National Pork Board has named Chris Hodges – current senior vice president of Smithfield Farmland – as its new CEO. For the past 30 years – National Pork Board President Dale Norton says Hodges has dedicated his career to the pork industry – building and leading teams to meet the emerging demands for protein domestically and internationally. As the organization moves forward with the implementation of its 2020 strategic plan – Norton says the National Pork Board is confident Hodges is the right person to lead the organization.Over the years – Hodges says he has grown to understand the needs and challenges facing pork producers. From product marketing to disease management to sustainability – he looks forward to working with the National Pork Board staff and Board to develop the tangible tools and grassroots programs on behalf of America’s pig farmers.
