Manufacturers of animal feed and pet food will soon be facing new federal regulations. To help with this process, the AgriBusiness Council of Indiana is sponsoring a special workshop. This daylong seminar will provide analysis and answer questions about the FDA’s Food Safety Modernizations Act (FSMA) regulations that apply to domestic and foreign facilities that manufacture, process, pack, or store animal feed as well as pet food. In addition, the seminar will provide an update on the status of FDA’s antimicrobial resistance policies and its impact on medicated feed manufacturers.
The program is presented by David Fairfield, Sr. Vice President of Feed Services with the National Grain and Feed Association. He manages the NGFA’s activities pertaining to feed and feed ingredient manufacturing. Also presenting is Matt Frederking, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Quality at Ralco Nutrition. His responsibilities include the company’s quality assurance and quality control, as well as regulatory-compliance programs including all of the FSMA requirements.
The event will take place on Tuesday at the Montage in Indianapolis. For more information, contact ACI at https://inagribiz.org/resources/register/.
