Fueling Freedom Returns for 9th Year

CountryMark fuel stations around the state are gearing up for the 9^th annual Fueling Freedom promotion. On Friday, June 23, thirty-nine CountryMark stations will be raising money for the Indiana National Guard through Fueling Freedom. CountryMark Vice President of Supply & Marketing Matt Smorch explains that CountryMark will donate 50 cents per gallon purchased to the local National Guard Readiness Group. “Fueling Freedom is our opportunity to pay tribute to the service, sacrifice and patriotism of local National Guard troops and their families,” said Smorch .“We are proud to partner with CountryMark retail fuel stations throughout the state to give back to our military families and honor the sacrifice they make to serve and protect our country.”

Last year, over $64,000 was raised, and Smorch says all the funds stay in the local community. In addition, customers will have the chance to register to win a $150.00 gift card.

National Guard members and their families will be at each location along with CountryMark personnel. The funds raised will go to help family members of deployed soldiers with some of the quality of life things that get overlooked, “Things like summer picnics, Christmas parties, after school programs, and even sending packages to local deployed  solders.”

The promotion takes place next Friday afternoon between noon and 5pm at participating locations.
