BASF Unveils New Revysol Fungicide and New Lead Offers for Corn and Soybeans
BASF recently unveiled their latest fungicide that has been over 10 years in the making. The new triazole is a DMI fungicide called Revysol. BASF Product Manager Matt Bradley says that Revysol is broader, stronger, and longer lasting than other products on the market.
With the announcement of Revysol, Bradley announced two new brands coming to the marketplace. Their lead offer in corn will be Veltyma.
“What we really see out of Veltyma is you can, for the first time, truly see where the fungicide has been applied. I know that’s one of the things that a farmer sometimes gets challenged with is whether or not the fungicide actually worked. What you see is a truly greener plant standing stronger and longer in the field.”
Bradley says it will control the diseases that matter most to growers.
“Revysol is bound to set the standard for control of gray leaf spot, northern corn leaf blight, southern rust, and most importantly, one of the newest problems, tar spot.”
And Bradley says that for soybeans, “Revytek is going to be our lead offer in soybeans, again setting the new standard for frogeye leaf spot. Control both QoI resistant and non-resistant strains, target spot, septoria brown spot, and the ever-popular Asian soybean rust.”
EPA registration is expected to be finalized this summer.
