Exhibitors Large and Small have Something to Offer at Farm Expo Next Week

You might have heard from some of the expert seminar speakers scheduled for next week’s Indiana Farm Equipment and Technology Expo at a new location, Grand Park in Westfield. This week we also previewed a high tech 24 row planter to be exhibited. There will be other large equipment there too.

But there is also plenty of technology to see, according to Gary Truitt, show manager.

“There will be several drone companies on the exhibit floor, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see some of those drones flying around, because this is a big span building and there are no problems flying the drones inside,” he said.

While there are drones and big equipment, the smaller booths are worth spending time with too.

“Don’t just walk by those small exhibits because they have some very interesting things going on, not only the drones but some of the computer programming, some of the scanners they’re putting in drones to really look at your plants and your fields,” he said. “We’ve got soil sensors by some companies there. One of the more interesting displays that I think will get a lot of attention is we’re putting in a full-size hoop building to be built during the show. Look at the big stuff but stop by some of those small exhibits and check them out as well.”

On the big equipment side, Gary says the lineup this year is the largest in quite a number of years.

“John Deere for example will have a huge display pretty much when you come right in the door. You’re going to see plenty of big green machines right there. There are many other colors there as well. Some big red machines will be there, Case will be there. Roudebush is bringing some Massey Ferguson machinery. Plevna Implement is bringing some very interesting tractors, so we will have a number of big tractors sitting on the show floor for folks to see. The isles are going to be wide.”

Truitt says there will be a John Deere DB60 Planter, John Deere 8RX, and a John Deere 612R Planter from Reynolds Farm Equipment, plus a John Deere Gator. Plevna Implement will showcase the Fendt 942 Vario and Fendt 1162 MT tractors. The Bane Welker display will feature a wheel loader, mini track and wheel skid steer, mini excavator, Ashland Scraper, plus several attachments. Glasscock will also have a large display.

Truitt adds there will be a coffee shop area for when you want to take a break and food is for sale right outside the show floor area. Also scan the QR code on signage throughout to fill out a form to win an awesome $1,000 drone package.

The Indiana Farm Equipment and Technology Expo at Grand Park in Westfield December 14-16 from 9am to 4pm, 3 pm on Thursday, is a free show with free parking. Exhibit space is sold out, but you do not need a ticket to come and enjoy the Expo.
