Case IH Promoting their Tiger-Mate Field Cultivator with Seedbed Sensing Technology

If you’re an Indiana farmer, you may already have spring planting on your mind. That’s why Case IH is promoting their field cultivator with their newest seedbed sensing technology.
“At Case IH, we want to make every pass through that field compliment that planter,” says C.J. Parker, Tillage and Pull type Fertilizer Marketing Manager with Case IH (shown above with Case IH Public Relations Manager Emma Davis).
Case IH which has developed their Tiger-Mate® 255 Field Cultivator with Advanced Farming Systems (AFS) Soil Command™. It’s the first technology that allows producers to create a more even seedbed for planting.
“That technology gives that agronomic information in the cab of the operator on how good of a seedbed that he is making as that field cultivator is moving through the soil,” says Parker. “Maybe that operator is going too fast – and on the way we measure how far that back of that shank is yielding on that field cultivator, it will say ‘slow down’ because you’re not creating a good seedbed for that planter.”

Parker says that technology from Case IH is all about setting you up for better success and higher yields come harvest time.
“We’ve done agronomic studies where we know that a poor seedbed is going to significantly reduce yield,” says Parker. “As we look at emergence and follow that plant throughout the growing season, it’s really important to make sure every pass compliments that planter as best as possible.”
Parker adds that Case IH continues to put in the research and development to grow their line of equipment.
“We’re constantly looking at new technology and new innovations to align with all the Case IH equipment,” according to Parker. “We then talk with our customers in the field that are using it to make sure it works in their operation because it really needs to work for everyone.”
