Food insecurity is a challenge for many communities across Indiana. To aid their hometowns in food collection, Indiana 4-H members collected items during their county fairs for the “Fight the Hunger, Stock the Trailer” competition. Wabash County 4-H won with more than 15,000 pounds of nonperishable items collected and delivered to food pantries and ministries across the county.
The competition was supported by Farm Credit Mid-America and Rural 1st. They’re committed to rural America’s success and provided prizes for the winners and participants of “Fight the Hunger, Stock the Trailer.”
