The HAT Soil Health Podcast- Irrigation Efficiency & Soil Moisture

The recent dry weather in Indiana has put us at 25-75 percent of normal precipitation over the last 30 days. If we don’t get rain when we need it and where we need it, we’ll need to conserve the water that we do have.

That’s the topic on this episode of the HAT Soil Health Podcast, brought to you by the Conservation Cropping Systems Initiative. Betsy Bower, an agronomist for Ceres Solutions Cooperative in western Indiana, and Mark Kingma, a farmer in northwestern Indiana, talk about irrigation system efficiency, the tools they use for measuring soil moisture, and the benefits of soil health systems for irrigation and water.
