Indiana Pork recently presented two awards to individuals who have dedicated time to advancing the pig industry.
Dr. Jeffrey Harker was the recipient of the Indiana Pork Industry Meritorious Service Award. Dr. Harker graduated from Purdue University with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1994 and has been a swine veterinarian with AMVC for his entire 30-year career. He is past president of both the Indiana Pork board of directors and the American Association of Swine Veterinarians. Dr. Harker is married to his high school sweetheart, Tracie, and are the parents of four children and three grandchildren.
Tom Moulder received the Indiana Pork Contract Grower Award. Tom raises pigs near Tipton, IN. for Keystone Cooperative. Tom is married to Jamie and the farming operation includes sons Colton, Corbin, and Cowen in the daily work, while his son-in-law Josh helps with trucking as needed. Tom and Jamie have been farming for more than 40 years, raising pigs and crops with their family.
Indiana Pork also recognized outgoing board members Tyler Fledderman, Mike Taylor, and Mike Cline for their years of service to the Indiana pork industry.
