
When your kids ask for a milkshake from McDonald’s, there’s a good chance the milk came from a dairy farm right here in Indiana! That pork in your McRib could also be coming from an Indiana farm. That’s because McDonald’s of Indiana buys local and supports Hoosier farmers.
In fact, the McDonald’s system is proud to source the following products from Indiana’s farmers:
- 5.9 million pounds of pork
- 1.8 million gallons of milk
- Nearly 1.5 million dozen eggs
- More than 26 million pounds of flour
“We realized that our customers want the freshest ingredients that that we can give them, and and the only way to do that is to get it from the closest source. We have a lot of great partners with Indiana State Poultry Association, American Dairy Association Indiana, Indiana Pork Producers Association, and many more that we’re able to get high quality fresh ingredients to our customers quickly,” says Michael Brooks, who owns and operates three McDonald’s restaurants in Tippecanoe and Fountain counties.
This National Agriculture Week, McDonald’s of Indiana says “thank you, farmers”, and they look forward to the continued partnership they have with you.
