The Ceres Solutions Knowledge Day event is one of the best attended field day events held in Indiana every year. One of the reasons is because of the wide variety of topics offered. Brock Frasch says, “It is a total agronomy day where we go into a lot of topics and really dive into a lot of the questions our customers have.”
The open format of the show lets growers attend just the areas of most interest to them. While some will focus on yield, Frasch says a large area will focus on different management practices and how they work and the results they produce. “This plot is totally dedicated to hands-on demonstrations on different management practices like different plant populations and how different hybrids respond,” he states. “In addition, different approaches to weed control are demonstrated.”
Frasch says there are areas of special interest, “We have a stop dealing with sustainable farming and one dealing with the use of cover crops and soil health. We also have a plot covering weather modeling and how it can work in an operation.”
The first Knowledge Day takes place this Thursday near Perrysville, IN. A second Knowledge Day will be held later in the month in Mentone, IN. Listen for coverage of both events on HAT radio stations and social media channels.
