Shortly before 10:00 a.m. EST on Thursday, an accident occurred at the Co-Alliance LaCrosse Feed Mill in LaCrosse, IN. At time of this release, the cause is unknown. Four employees were injured and taken to hospitals for treatment. Jonah Pacione, age 19 and Emilio Galicia, age 43 were heliported to St. Joseph Burn Center in Ft. Wayne, IN. Craig Chase, age 34 and Chris Fort, age 26 were taken by ambulance to Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso, IN.


“Our thoughts and prayers are with the employees who were injured today. We have notified their families and provided them the location of the medical facilities where their loved ones were taken for treatment. Co-Alliance personnel will be on-site at the hospitals to provide support and assistance to the employees and their families,” said Co-Alliance CEO Kevin A. Still. “We do not yet know the cause of the accident, but will work with the authorities in their investigation.”


The co-op[ said updates regarding employees and the cause of the accident will be announced as they become available.
