On this edition of Hoosier Ag This Week: A positive test for the Bird Flu virus at the Rose Acre Farm egg production facility near Seymour made national headlines this past week. The facility, which housed 2.8 million birds, will be shut down as the flock will be depopulated. C.J. Miller reports that the eggs and poultry products that are on your grocery store shelves are still safe for you and your family to eat.
Eric Pfeiffer also chats with State Rep. Kendell Culp, who has introduced 15 bills that relate to agriculture. The legislation includes property taxes and tax credits for retiring farmers that Governor Mike Braun mentioned in his State of the State Address on Wednesday evening.
