In advance of the 2013 Hoosier Beef Congress (HBC), the Indiana Beef Cattle Association (IBCA) held an on-line auction for the first 30 spots in stalling line. Each year, proceeds from that auction are directed by the HBC Committee to a specific charity. For the second year in a row, the committee designated that the funds go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The IBCA was able to donate $9000.00 to grant the wish of young Grant from Morgantown, IN. The three-year-old suffers from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. A condition where a fast-growing cancer of the white blood cells means they are unable to fight infections.
When asked what his wish was, Grant knew right away what he wanted for his wish. He wished for an
indoor play set to be built for him in the basement of the house. Grant loves to play so much that having
an indoor play set that he can use when he cannot play outside is exactly what he wants. That way he
can play all year round.

Thank you to all of the bidders for making wishes come true for children like Grant!
