Indiana Dairy Promotes Milk and Santa

santa-milk-and-cookiesAmerican Dairy Association, Indiana is hoping to fuel Santa during his long night Christmas Eve and the organization is also asking for your help with a donation of milk to families in need. Join the Great American Milk Drive in partnership with Feeding America to make an online donation of as little as $5. That gift goes directly to local food banks that distribute milk vouchers for free milk to those families. Full details are at www.winnersdrinkmilk.com.

Also the 3rd annual “Show Us Your Milk & Cookies” contest is underway from now to the end of the year, says Jenni Browning at ADAI.

jenni-browning-16“We want to make sure that you don’t forget about the big guy during his big night and that he is refueled with milk. We want to see your pictures so we’re encouraging people during their holiday baking or maybe Christmas Eve when you leave those cookies and milk out for Santa, we want to see a picture!”

Use Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram to upload a unique picture of your best milk and cookie creation and use the hashtag #SantaDrinksMilk. You can submit an entry every day through December 30th. Then fill out the contest entry form at https://winnersdrinkmilk.com/santa-drinks-milk for a chance to win a $500 Amazon gift card awarded the first week of January. No purchase necessary. An Honorable Mention winner receives a $100 NFL Pro Shop gift card.

Be sure to use real dairy milk in your picture and in those containers left for Santa so he is sure to get his “protein to get through the night and get to all those houses,” Browning told HAT. “I was asked what milk Santa likes. Either whole milk or chocolate is what I’m hearing, but really any milk has the same 9 essential nutrients for Santa.”

Browning is Senior Director of Communications and Wellness at American Dairy Association Indiana Inc.
