Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman was presented with an award for her outstanding service to the pork industry at a presentation in her office on Tuesday. The award was presented by Heather Hill, Indiana Pork President and pork farmer from Greenfield, IN. “We felt it appropriate to thank Lieutenant Governor Skillman for her unwavering  dedication to the pork industry in Indiana throughout her time in office. As a pork farmer, I am grateful for her friendship and support,” said Hill.

Serving as the Secretary of Agriculture, Skillman understands the value of pork production to Indiana and was a tireless promoter of agriculture throughout her two terms in office. “I am extremely grateful for this award”, said Skillman. “But it should be me thanking Indiana’s pork farmers for their hardiness and perseverance year after year to which Indiana and Hoosiers have been the beneficiaries. Thank you for the very special memories I have that will last a lifetime.”

A special video message from Skillman will be shown at the Indiana Pork annual meeting on February 5.
