Bruce Kettler began his new position as director of the Indiana State Department of Agriculture on Monday. Governor Holcomb announced Kettler’s appointment at the end of November, but Kettler had to finish his employment at Beck’s Hybrids before beginning his new duties. While Kettler has attended a number of farm meetings and events over the past month, Monday was his first day on the job at his One North Capitol office in Indianapolis.
Jane Ade Stevens, CEO of Indiana Soybean Alliance, Indiana Corn Marketing Council, and Indiana Corn Growers Association, released the following statement in response to Bruce Kettler’s appointment as Indiana State Department of Agriculture Director. “We look forward to working with Bruce Kettler as the new director for Indiana’s Department of Agriculture. His understanding of the issues facing Indiana farmers and experience in finding innovative solutions will be of great value to our state. In his last role at Beck’s Hybrids, Bruce was an excellent partner and close friend of our organizations and members, and all Indiana Farmers.”
Stevens added, “We look forward to working with Bruce and the staff at ISDA to grow Indiana’s livestock, aquaculture, and food sectors that use Indiana corn and soybeans.”
