Overnight Highlights

  • In overnight markets; corn – ½, soybeans +1 ¾, wheat –1 ½, crude -.07, gold +4.30, Dollar -.17, Dow futures -1.     
  • China expects their 2017 imports to increase – corn from 800K MT to 1.0 MMT and soybeans from 85.3 MMT to 86.5 MMT.
  • The USDA reported corn and wheat plantings yesterday – corn at 3% vs 4% last year and spring wheat at 5% vs. 12% last year.
  • South Korea bought 60K MT of South American soybean meal for August and 63K MT optional origin feed wheat for September.
  • USDA Supply & Demand Report is today at 11am CDT.
  • Monday funds 10,000 corn, 4,000 wheat, 1,000 meal.  Sold 4,000 soybeans, 4,000 oil.
