Overnight Highlights

  • Overnight grain markets: Corn -1 ½, Soybeans -7 ¼, Wheat -5 ¾, Crude +.41, Gold -.20, Dollar -.01, Dow futures -29.
  • The U.S. Dollar saw its largest monthly decline in January since 2016.
  • Today starts the simple daily average determination for crop revenue insurance prices for 2018.
  • January Cattle Inventory: All Cattle/Calves 100.7% vs. estimated 101.3%; Calf Crop 102% vs. 102% estimated.
  • KC wheat recorded an all-time record trading volume on Tuesday with 148,457 contracts.
  • Wednesday funds bought 4,000 corn. Sold 8,000 soybeans, 7,000 wheat, 4,000 meal, 1,000 oil.
  • USDA Weekly Export Sales this morning.
  • USDA Census Soybean Crush report this afternoon.
