NEW IBCA & IBC BOARD OF DIRECTORS SET TO BEGIN WORK FOR 2013

 During its annual business meeting at the 2013 Livestock, Forage & Grain Forum, the Indiana Beef Cattle Association (IBCA) membership elected its officers for 2013-2014. The newly installed officers are: President, Loran Wilson of Orleans; President-Elect, Rick Davis of Thorntown; Vice-President, Norman Voyles, Jr. Martinsville; Treasurer, Dave Smith of Greensburg and Past President, Donnie Lawson of Thorntown. Also serving on the Executive Committee with the officers is Membership Chairman Clark Sennett of Waynetown and Promotions Chair, Jodi Jordan of Rensselaer.

 

Three new Area Directors were elected to serve Indiana’s beef producers on policy matters as well as represent their interests on the Beef Checkoff. Beef producers in Area 1 elected Ben Hoene of Elizabethtown, producers in Area 7 re-elected Neal Smith of Pendleton, producers in Area 5 re-elected Stacey Baird of Greencastle. The IBCA Board of Directors is made up of 10 Area Directors as well as representatives from dairy, veal and allied industries. These local producer leaders serve on the board for the IBCA as well as the Indiana Beef Council (IBC) to manage the collection and allocation of the Beef Checkoff.
