Officer Team Elected by Indiana Corn Marketing Council Board

Gary Lamie of West Point was elected president of the Indiana Corn Marketing Council (ICMC) at its November board of directors meeting. Also elected were Dennis Maple of Greentown as vice president, Dean Eppley of Wabash as secretary and Gerald Gauck of Milan as treasurer. The ICMC is responsible for investing state corn checkoff funds in programs that strengthen the demand for corn and corn products. With its five-year strategic plan, the ICMC board is focusing on five major areas, including ethanol, livestock, grain marketing, new uses and production issues.

“I want to thank my fellow council members for my election as president. I want to congratulate my fellow officers on their election as well,” said Lamie, who also serves as vice chair on National Corn Growers Association’s Research and Business Development Action Team. “I know that every director on the ICMC board will continue to be focused on working with our stakeholders to fulfill our mission of enhancing the value of Indiana corn.”
