Secretary Vilsack to Keynote Ethanol Conference

Next month – U.S. Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack will address a crowd of more than one-thousand in Las Vegas at the 18th Annual National Ethanol Conference of the Renewable Fuels Association as the keynote speaker. RFA says Vilsack’s strong and highly engaged support for ethanol and other domestic biofuels is unwavering. They add he is outspoken in his support of the Renewable Fuel Standard and continuing investment in next generation biofuels. The Secretary has also led the charge to modernize America’s fueling infrastructure through the installation of blender pumps. According to RFA – Vilsack has been one of the single most credible voices in refuting falsehoods about ethanol for years.

RFA President and CEO Bob Dinneen says the group congratulates the Secretary as he begins his second term. Dinneen says Vilsack speaks eloquently about the importance of energy independence from foreign oil, investment in the next generation of biofuels and the powerful role the ethanol industry plays in rural economic development. He says RFA is honored to host him at the National Ethanol Conference.

As the ethanol industry prepares for heavy assault from Big Oil – Dinneen says Vilsack will poignantly motivate the industry to proceed in its mission to expand, diversify, innovate and open new markets globally. Dinneen says RFA is grateful Secretary Vilsack is taking time to address the industry and emphasize President Obama’s support for the renewable fuels industry.
