Goebel explains the analysis is more than just colors on your computer screen, it has a very practical in field aspect, “All of this data and analysis can go into a program called Field 360 Select, which allows you to load this program on a tablet or Smartphone and take it into the field and see where your splits are between hybrids, between your nitrogen treatments. This lets you see visually what is going on.” In addition, the program has a field note system that lets you take notes about what you are seeing. The program also has a feature that allows you to take a photo of a weed or insect and send it to Pioneer for identification and recommendation.
One of the best parts of the program is that you don’t have to become a computer geek to use it, “Field 360 select is very easy to use. It can be opened on any tablet or Smartphone. And it is more of a viewer application, so there is not a big learning curve.” In fact, most of the setup and data collection can be handled by your Pioneer sales representative.
