U.S. Weekly Ethanol Production 2nd Highest on Record

According to EIA data, ethanol production averaged 1.006 million barrels per day (b/d)—or 42.25 million gallons daily. That is up an astounding 46,000 b/d from the week before and the second-largest total on record. The four-week average for ethanol production stood at 965,000 b/d for an annualized rate of 14.79 billion gallons.

Stocks of ethanol stood at 20.2 million barrels. That is a 2.6% decrease from last week.Imports of ethanol were nonexistent for the 25th week in a row.

Gasoline demand for the week averaged 401.9 million gallons (9.568 million barrels) daily. Refiner/blender input of ethanol averaged 904,000 b/d. Expressed as a percentage of daily gasoline demand, daily ethanol production was 10.5%
