USDA to Announce Federal-Private Agreement with DuPont

U.S. Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack will be in Iowa Friday to announce a new agreement with DuPont. USDA and DuPont will work together to strengthen conservation practices across the nation. At the same time – this federal-private agreement will promote the sustainable production of renewable feedstocks for biobased energy. DuPont is currently constructing a cellulosic ethanol plant in Nevada, Iowa. The plant will primarily use cornstalks as the main feedstock.

 

During his visit – Vilsack will also highlight the Administration’s commitment to effective conservation measures and the development and promotion of advanced renewable energy.
