“What’s In Your Field” Program Comes to SW Indiana

Corn and soybean farmers looking for an edge to advance on-farm production have a valued opportunity to attend a free informational workshop titled What’s IN Your Fields. Hosted by a collaboration of agricultural organizations including the Indiana Soybean Alliance and the Indiana Corn Marketing Council, this one-of-a-kind workshop takes place January 17, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (CT) at the Vincennes University-Gibson County Center in Fort Branch.

In addition to gathering insights from technical leads, researchers, and their peers, attendees will leave with a better understanding of important topics, such as nitrogen application, soil sampling and testing, cover crops, and the INfield Advantage program. The session features keynote speaker, Dr. Tony Vyn with Purdue University’s Department of Agronomy, who will present on practical and efficient nutrient placement for sustainable corn production with conservation tillage.

Lunch will be provided, and, with limited seating available, advanced registration is required. For more information and to RSVP, visit https://www.cvent.com/d/0tqzmh or contact your local Soil & Water Conservation District office. The Indiana Corn Marketing Council, Indiana Soybean Alliance, Purdue Extension, Indiana State Department of Agriculture, and Indiana’s soil and water conservation districts sponsor this event.
